a bit more about me...

Pebble Beach

Inspiration

I'm lucky enough to live by the sea, having moved to Brighton in my early twenties and slowly making my way along the coast like a sea swept pebble until I settled in beautiful Worthing.

I love the vast expanses of coastline that we have access to here, none of them over developed, allowing me to roam along the shoreline soaking up the elements and translating these into new design ideas.

I use traditional methods to craft my jewellery, using techniques learnt at college from craftspeople who worked in the jewellery trade before coming into teaching to pass on their skills.

I love the fact that I am using the same tools and techniques that have been in play for generations, guiding me through the process but allowing me to adapt in order to create my own pieces.

Making by hand is important to me as it sets a certain pace that cannot be rushed and using hands and senses together to build a piece is meditative.
